Since I sold my first Earth Art print 3 years ago a lot has happened and a lot of experience has been gained.
One thing that has remained the same however is my love for South Australia and its natural beauty. I love travelling and I have photographed some of the most beautiful locations on earth… the Atacama Desert, Falkland Islands, Pacific Northwest, Greek Islands, Cook Islands and the Chilean Andes - yet visiting a new spot in SA like the west coast of Eyre Peninsula earlier this month, gives me no less of a buzz.
The financial year is coming to an end and I was looking over some of my stats for the year/last 3 years and I realised one key figure. Out of the 254 prints I have sold on 118 different images, 254 of them have been South Australian scenes! There’s probably a few different reasons for this, including my extra focus on selling local images - but for 100% of images sold to be local is mind-blowing and talks to me of how beautiful this state is and how much connection South Australians have to their state.
Maybe next time you’re planning a holiday, consider a South Australian location you’ve never been too before. Some new spots I’ve visited in the past 12 months and would highly recommend include Carpenters Rocks, Streaky Bay, Venus Bay and Fowlers Bay - and if you already have an SA secret - head on over to my online store and see if I have any images of your favourite spot that you would like as wall art.
Also stay tuned for the launch of Earthscape Tours next South Australian adventure in the coming days!
